Online marketing can be overwhelming, particularly when you are a beginner and merely starting to learn about the field. You’ve probably already skimmed over many articles and forum posts that are full of information on how to be the next “big thing”. All of these lists are going to look like contradict each other. The effects of BMX Master, not only on you but many others, is a fact that has to be recognized. No one really can effectively address all the different circumstances that could arise with this particular topic. But I wanted to stop for a moment so you can reflect on the value of what you have just read. We are highly certain about the ability of what we offer, today, to create a difference. As usual, we generally save the very finest for last. One list will tell you that becoming an IM success is all about exercising patience. Another is going to say that you need to have a great deal of business savvy. Nevertheless, others will say that creativity is the ingredient to wild and astounding success. And, of course, you can’t forget about all of the people saying that all you have to do is buy their software package if you want to be the next big name in IM!
The truth is that all of these things are essential to your success (well, possibly not all of those software programs, but the other stuff). You need to be persevering and smart about business and creative if you want to get ahead. None of these things count much, however, if you are not able to communicate well with your customers.
There is more to good communication than creating an amazing sales page. All you need for an effective sales page is the money to employ a talented copywriter. There is more to good communication than making a gorgeous website that has an extensive FAQ. A good designer and writer can do those things. Being a good communicator demands learning to handle interpersonal communication as well as your copy and website. What do you do then?
1. See to it that any email doesn’t sit unreplied to for more than a day. This is no jest. The email doesn’t have to be lengthy. All you have to do is compose a short note that says something like “I read your e-mail and will be sending you a full reply soon.” Try to include a snippet of the message the other person has written when you do this. This helps the the person you’re responding to to separate your email from the auto responders that everybody else utilizes.
2. Pick up the phone. It’s not a good idea to screen your calls. You should always try to answer the telephone by the third ring. You should do this even if the Caller ID tells you that the call is from a person that you really do not want to talk to. You’ll be happy to know that there is an exemption to this specific rule. You don’t need to worry about being close to your telephone aroudn the clock. Instead, have clear business hours during which you will be available to answer the phone. Indicate your business hours on your website and state them in your voice mail message. And, of course, each caller who leaves a message deserves a call back.
3. Follow up with individuals to be sure that they have gotten your memos, emails, letters, etc. This shows them that you care about your correspondence with them. You’ll endear yourself more with the people you work with and who purchase from you if you ask them if they have any questions and check to be sure that they understood the points you were trying to make.
